Anikulapo

There will come a time when the light of fame will be on you, when it comes, if you don't know how to manage the weight of the spotlight, you will crash and will easily be forgotten.

There are reports of former footballers who despite all the monies they got paid in their prime got into lack at their latter years.

There is a deception about the nature of the spotlight, when it shines on you, it will look as though it will be on you forever.

I mean, the blogs have your name, VVIP tickets are delivered to you for free, brands jostling to have you at their events, your face is many posters etc..

You see, the technology to manage the spotlight requires more than many realize.

One person who I have seen manage his nicely is 'Kunle Remi'. The guy from the Anikulapo movie.

Not too long after his fame, he got married.

The spotlight is heavy and to have a woman who loves you, you love, that supports you in managing the spotlight and can realign you when deviating from course is a master-move. Or at the very least a good nuclear family support structure.

I noticed how his face is on the flyers of different events as a Master of Ceremonies. He might have been doing it before but rode on the fame to deliver on bigger stages.

More like, he has been doing the work all along and was waiting for the day of his manifestation then came Anikulapo.

He is chilling, keeping his act in check with his head low.

But for you, just notice how you start talking too much, playing too much or creating content out of everything once you get little kudos for your work. You have not mastered how to manage kudos, still stay jiggy and focused.

Like I said, the spotlight comes with a deceptive element that will seem to convince you that it will be on you forever.

Like the popular journalist Chude once said 'Be careful when you are called the rave of the moment for the moment has seen many raves'

It's your job to trap a portion of the spotlight when it comes on you with an already built structure.

The elders say that a King that wants to live long on the throne must ensure not to snatch the wife of the Chief Priest.

Manage your appetite.

Sò gbò?
