Nneka and Landlord Palava (True Story)

In June 2022, a school owner got a call from her landlord to remind her of the imminent expiration of the school building rent by November.

Precisely November 2020 (just after COVID), Nneka resigned from working in a bank to start a Nursery and Primary School.

Nneka has always been passionate about educating people. Back in secondary school, she use to organise free Maths class for her friends

Fast forward to 2020, she got support from her friends in the bank who borrowed her money to start.

From 2020 till March 2022, Nneka spent the income from the school on repaying debts, paying salaries and maintenance of properties.

The call from the landlord got her depressed as many of her parents haven't paid the money they owe her.

She tried every other option but all to no avail. Even her family members couldn't help as they didn't have much too.

It felt like the school project was going to finally crumble.

While shedding tears and praying one night, she remembered one of her Aunts who used to work at LUTH but relocated to the USA 20 years ago.

At the time this Aunt relocated, Nneka was 10 years old.

When she asked around about this Aunt, she was told by some family members that the Aunt is very stingy.

In fact, they said once the Aunt says 'I will get back to you' that's the end.

Nneka summoned courage, composed a write-up explaining how she started the school, what has happened, what's happening, pictures, budget and account details and sent it to this Aunt of hers on whatsapp.

The Aunt called that same day, empathised and ended with 'I will get back to you'. 馃ぃ馃槄

When Nneka narrated this to other family members, they laughed at her.

A week later, Nneka got an alert on the phone of the exact amount she needed. 馃拑馃徎馃拑馃徎

Let me tell you what transpired..

Remember that I mentioned that the Aunt used to work at LUTH 20 years ago.

While working at LUTH, she had a pension account that she never touched before leaving Nigeria.

After the call with Nneka, she called the pension company, introduced herself and asked how much was in the account and how to get it out.

Surprisingly, the money in the account was the EXACT amount that Nneka requested for.

Can you imagine?

Coincidence? I doubt

Far back as 20 years ago, while Nneka was still in Primary school, even before Nneka thought of setting up a school, the money had been prepared.

See, stop worrying!

God WILL take care of you.
