Juwon - The Comedian

Three comedians were billed to perform at an event. 

Juwon was called up to perform after two comedians had already performed. 

At the end of the event, Juwon walked up to some attendees to ask about his performance and if they loved it.

Most of the people he spoke to said he was great on stage.馃憦馃徑馃憦馃徑

Some of the guys he asked said that the guy who performed before him said very dirty stuffs, he was rude & got so many persons disgusted but Juwon's performance was ethically funny.

Juwon was happy but still wanted to know what he did wrong on stage. 

He kept asking until he asked a guy. The guy said ' Well, I think you tried but your jokes were not DEEP’.

Juwon was curious to know what the word DEEP is, so he asked, what do you mean by ‘deep’, Sir?

The guy replied ‘ Okay for example, the comedian before you killed it. My goodness! He said some ‘bed situation’ between a man and woman, I laughed hard where I was.

Juwon left with mixed feelings.  He didn't know whether he should be happy or sad.

Don’t always think that there has to be something wrong with your product or performance. 

There should always be more room for improvement but learn to sometimes enjoy responsibly the accolades you get for a job well-done.

Nneka and Landlord Palava (True Story)

In June 2022, a school owner got a call from her landlord to remind her of the imminent expiration of the school building rent by November.  Precisely November 2020 (just after COVID), Nneka resigned from working in a bank to start a Nursery and Primary School.  Nneka has always been passionate about educating people. Back in secondary school, she use to organise free Maths class for her friends Fast forward to 2020, she got support from her friends in the bank who borrowed her money to start. King Sunny Ade as a young man and an upcoming artist desired visibility, platforms and money. He was introduced to Chief Bolarinwa Abioro who had a popular record label at that time. The same man used to pay artists like Ayinde Bakare, Sikiru Ayinde Barrister and even Pa Ebenezer Obey  On meeting Chief Abioro, KSA prostrated like a proper yoruba champ.  He asked King Sunny Ade questions to which he answered. He was presented a contract to which he appended his signature quickly. He was eager to be heard by the world 馃榿馃拑馃徏馃寧. What he didn't know was that, in that contract it was stated that, on the sale of every album which was then fixed at N6, King Sunny Ade & His boys were entitled to a sum of 20Kobo while His boss got N5.80Kobo .馃檰馃徑‍♂️ You too do the Maths.  Fair?  It took Late Chief Fawehinmi to help King Sunny Ade recover his due after a long court battle.  You will agree that in life some decisions requires time, scrutiny and conviction than others....
